Somehow my heating didn’t work for the past days, so I have been depending on hot drinks to keep me warm. I always love a hot cup of tea or coffee, but today I was feeling extra indulgent, so I made this peanut butter hot chocolate. I added 1 tsp. of peanut butter, but the flavour was very mild, so I suggest adding a bit more if you really want this to taste like a peanut butter cup. I prefer this with sweetened soy milk, because why not go all out! You could of course make this with almond milk as well, but I like the foamed top that soy milk adds to this drink. I really hope you enjoy this one, and I hope your heating is working ;).
Ingredients:
- 30 grams of dark chocolate
- 150 mL of (soy) milk
- 2-3 tsp. of smooth peanut butter
- A pinch of salt and cinnamon
Instructions
- Add your chocolate to a glass
- Melt your chocolate in in the microwave in 20 second intervals, stirring in between
- Add a little splash of soy milk and stir until combined
- Add the rest of your soy milk and stir
- Add a pinch of salt and cinnamon and stir in your peanut butter
- If your drink is now cold form the soy milk, reheat in the microwave, mine took about 1.5 minutes
- Optional: use a milk foamer to foam up your hot chocolate
- Enjoy!
