RECIPE: peanut butter cup hot chocolate

Somehow my heating didn’t work for the past days, so I have been depending on hot drinks to keep me warm. I always love a hot cup of tea or coffee, but today I was feeling extra indulgent, so I made this peanut butter hot chocolate. I added 1 tsp. of peanut butter, but the flavour was very mild, so I suggest adding a bit more if you really want this to taste like a peanut butter cup. I prefer this with sweetened soy milk, because why not go all out! You could of course make this with almond milk as well, but I like the foamed top that soy milk adds to this drink. I really hope you enjoy this one, and I hope your heating is working ;).

  • 30 grams of dark chocolate
  • 150 mL of (soy) milk
  • 2-3 tsp. of smooth peanut butter
  • A pinch of salt and cinnamon

  1. Add your chocolate to a glass
  2. Melt your chocolate in in the microwave in 20 second intervals, stirring in between
  3. Add a little splash of soy milk and stir until combined
  4. Add the rest of your soy milk and stir
  5. Add a pinch of salt and cinnamon and stir in your peanut butter
  6. If your drink is now cold form the soy milk, reheat in the microwave, mine took about 1.5 minutes
  7. Optional: use a milk foamer to foam up your hot chocolate
  8. Enjoy!
