This is just a super easy nail polish idea that can be made with any colours you have on hand and a regular paintbrush. I remember when I was younger, I didn’t have any fancy nail art brushes or dotting tools, so I wanted to make this with a regular paintbrush. I think adding stripes to your nails can elongate them visually and look very elegant. This is further emphasized by using the contrast of the matte background and the sparkly stripe. Because this is so simple, let’s just start!
You will need:
- A base coat, I used Sally Hansen’s Diamond Shine base & top coat
- A matte nail polish, I used 04 from Golden Rose, which is a burgundy colour
- A sparkly nail polish, I used a silver from OPI
- A regular paintbrush, not too big
Instructions:
Paint your nails with a base coat and two coats of your matte colour
Use your paintbrush to paint a stripe down the middle of your nails.
If this is not opaque enough, add a second coat.
And that’s it!
