NAIL ART FOR FALL – pretty pumpkins

Call me basic, but I love pumpkin everything. I love pumpkin in dinner, in drinks (Starbucks now makes their pumpkin spice lattes vegan if you ask 🙂 ), in everything! I also just love the way that pumpkins look. That is why today, I thought I would make a pumpkin inspired nail art. This is not the halloweenish pumpkin, but more a realistic and more stylish looking pumpkin. You don’t need to use as many different colours for your pumpkins as I used, but I wanted to test out some different colours.

You will need:

  • A base and top coat
  • A red colour to form the background (or any other colour you would like)
  • One or more nude colours for your pumpkins
  • A brown for the stems and shadows
  • A nail art brush and dotting tool

  1. Paint all your nails with a base coat
  2. Paint your nails with your background colour of choice
  3. Add your basic pumpkin shape
    1. Add three or four ovals on each nails, overlapping slightly
    2. Add two circles, overlapping slightly
  4. Mix some brown into your nude, paint stripes where the ovals overlap to create a shadow effect
  5. Add your stems in brown
  6. Finish with a topcoat!
